Midweek Announcements

  • This evening, Adoration will take place just from 5:00 to 5:30 pm with the First Friday Devotions. It will end at 5:30 in order to prepare for Candlemas. There will be a priest in the confessional from 5:00 to 6:00 pm and during the Mass, following the end of the procession.
  • This evening for Candlemas the blessing of candles will begin at 6:00 pm. After the candles have been blessed and distributed, we will have a procession outside, around the church and back into the chapel in the gym. Your taper candles should be lit: during the procession, during the Gospel and during the canon of the Mass.
  • Today is the first day of the novena for the Fraternity of St. Peter to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It will conclude with a consecration to the Immaculate Heart at the end of our 40 Hours on Sunday, February 11, the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. The novena is simply a decade of the Rosary and the Memorare to be prayed each day. We hope that each member of the parish will join us in praying for Our Lady’s continual protection of the FSSP.
  • Adoration for 40 hours will begin at the conclusion of the 6 pm Mass on February 9 and conclude at the end of the 10:00 am solemn mass on February 11. At the Masses on Saturday and Sunday during 40 Hours there will not be a sermon because of the presence of the Blessed Sacrament Exposed.
  • Following the 10:00 am Mass and the closing of 40 Hours on February 11, we will have the annual Shrovetide pancake race. Details for the race are in the bulletin. Although we cannot have a pancake breakfast this year, we will have crepes with fixings available outside after the race along with coffee and other items. There will not be bowling Sunday, February 11.
